A little about each of these.
The first two images are collages which were made by cutting up a photo of a stack of CDs in a zine by artist Fred Tomaselli. Interestingly, at the time I made these I didn't know anything about this artist or his practice and as it turns out, he's pretty deep into OCD-style collage. Who knew?! Anyhow, I used a loop to try and identify the CDs as best I could, and then made a work in which I alphabetized the stack. The other is the same project, but colorized (more or less).
The second is a poster originally by Maurizio Cattelan. I noticed he spelled Sue de Beer's name wrong, so I circled it in red marker. Over the past few years some friends noticed a few other typos in there —I don't recall them off the top of my head but, one was noticed by Jeffrey Tranchell when I showed this piece at Good Work Gallery.
